What Changes After Image Conversion?
Your original image remains unchanged. The converter creates a new file using the selected format and adds -converted to the filename, such as holiday-photo-converted.jpg, so it is easy to distinguish from the source. Pixel dimensions remain the same unless you enable the optional resize setting. File size, visual quality, transparency and metadata can change according to the output format and settings you choose.
Privacy and local processing
The selected image contents are processed in your browser for this tool. MZ Tech Pro does not intentionally upload the selected files to an MZ Tech Pro conversion server. When a special decoder or encoder is needed, the page may download JavaScript or WebAssembly code from the listed CDN/module providers. Normal website resources such as analytics, advertising and theme scripts can also make network requests. Converted files remain in browser memory until you clear the tool or close/reload the page.
Important Format Notes
- Transparency: PNG, WebP and AVIF can carry transparency. JPG cannot, so transparent pixels need a background color.
- Metadata: this version re-encodes image pixels and does not preserve EXIF/XMP metadata in the converted raster output.
- Animation: GIF and animated WebP are converted as a static rendered frame in this version. Animation-preserving conversion should be a later specialised upgrade.
- HEIC/HEIF: a HEIC container can hold more than one image. This version uses the first decoded image for conversion.
- TIFF: multi-page or multi-image TIFF files use the first decoded page/image in this version.
- SVG: converting SVG to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF rasterizes the vector artwork. Keep the original SVG if you still need scalable vector editing.
- Large batches: processing capacity depends on image dimensions, file complexity, browser memory and device performance. The file safeguards are designed to reduce accidental browser crashes, not to represent a server upload limit.

Can this tool convert JPG to PNG and PNG to JPG?
Yes. Select one or more JPG or PNG files, choose the target format and convert. When converting a transparent PNG to JPG, select the background color that should replace transparent pixels.
Can I convert WebP images to JPG or PNG?
Yes. WebP can be used as an input and converted to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. Animated WebP is treated as a static rendered frame in this version.
Does the converter support HEIC photos from iPhone?
Yes. HEIC and HEIF input is decoded in the browser with a dedicated helper library, then the image can be exported to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. Multi-image HEIC containers use the first decoded image in this version.
Can I convert images to AVIF?
Yes. AVIF output uses a WebAssembly encoder loaded when AVIF is required. The first AVIF conversion can take longer while the codec loads, and encoding is generally more CPU-intensive than JPG or WebP.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
The file conversion itself is designed to run in this browser tab. Special format support can require the page to download codec code from external CDN/module providers, but the selected image contents are not intentionally sent to an MZ Tech Pro conversion server.
Does converting an image always make the file smaller?
No. File size depends on the source image, output format, image dimensions, transparency, visual detail and quality setting. For example, converting a photograph from JPG to lossless PNG can make the file much larger.
Will EXIF metadata be preserved?
No. This version re-encodes the visual pixels and does not carry EXIF/XMP metadata into the output file. That behaviour is useful for reducing metadata leakage, but it is not appropriate when you need to preserve capture date, camera settings, GPS or other metadata.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes. Batch conversion is supported. After conversion you can download each result separately or create a ZIP containing the completed outputs.
Will conversion change my image dimensions?
Not by default. The converted image keeps the source pixel dimensions unless you enable Resize images while converting and enter maximum width and height values. Re-encoding can still change the file size even when the dimensions remain identical.
Does the converter work on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac?
Yes. The converter is designed for modern browsers on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS. Performance depends on the device, browser and image size, while HEIC or AVIF conversion may take longer because additional browser codec code can be required.
